Schaeffler presents the latest version of the shuttle "Mover" and for the first time its own electric motor at the IAA in Frankfurt. It will soon go into series production.

The automotive supplier Schaeffler is showing its own electric motors in various performance classes for the first time at the IAA, which, according to the company, are going into mass production. Schaeffler starts with the development and production of electric motors ready for series production - from 48 to 800 volts and with outputs between 15 and 300 kilowatts. By 2021, production of an electric motor for several electric vehicles for a leading European automobile manufacturer will start. With a view to hybridization, Schaeffler focuses on the dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). The electric drive and transmission are combined in order to form a self-contained component and functional unit.

Schaeffler "Mover" as a mobility concept for urban areas

Schaeffler will also be presenting the latest version of the "Mover" at the IAA, an autonomous and flexible development platform that utilizes numerous new technologies. The heart of the concept vehicle is the rolling chassis with Space Drive, a drive-by-wire technology for autonomous driving. Each of the four "Schaeffler Intelligent Corner Modules" contains all drive and chassis components in a single unit. This concept recently won the German Mobility Award of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.
